Mineroc has been developed to support the design and planning processes in Sublevel Stoping mining. It provides different modules which allow new design tools to be generated, aiming at maximizing production while controlling dilution. In its first edition, 4 modules have been included:

  • Acquisition module: Management of geotechnical data.
  • Back analysis platform of open stopes: Assessment of performance parameters.
  • Database manager module: Development of own design tools.
  • Stope design module: Evaluation of stope’s dimensions based in own stability methods.

Design Module

  • Transformation of the input data into geotechnical information for the stability analysis in mine design.
  • Sensitivity analysis of both, the geotechnical parameters and the stope geometry.
  • storage of stope designs into a standardized data base.

Back-analysis module

  • Processing of the open stope design and CMS (.dxf).
  • Automatic calculation of overbreak , stability number and stability per wall.
  • Construction of a data base which groups together the stability analysis of stopes with the operational standards.
  • Adjustment of the empirical design tools to the specific local site conditions.
